What's New

The latest features and improvements on Sport Dog Hub.

September 2026
For clubs Host a seminar or clinic
Events don't have to be competitions. You can now set up a seminar or clinic and sell seats to it the same way you take entries: people sign up from the event page, pay online if you take payments, and check in on the day. There is nothing to score, so the day-of screens show only who is coming and who has paid.
For clubs A lower price for a second dog, and coupon codes
Any event can now offer a reduced price for a customer's second and later dogs, and you can create coupon codes for a percentage or a dollar amount off, with an optional limit on how many times each code can be used and an expiration date. Both are set from Entries & Payments, and what a club is owed always matches what was actually charged.
For competitors Coupons and the exact total before you pay
The confirm screen now shows the real total for your cart, including any second-dog price the club offers, and has a box for a coupon code. If a code brings the total to zero, your dogs are entered without going through checkout at all.
For clubs Deleting an event is now safe
An event with real scores in it can no longer be deleted with one click. The delete dialog tells you how many dogs have results, points you to Cancel the event instead, and asks you to type the event's name before anything is removed. If an event is deleted by mistake, the whole thing, including runs, entries and scores, can be brought back.
For clubs Host a Club Only event
Not every event needs a sanctioning body. When you set up an event you can now choose Club Only, named for your club, for fun days, practice days and club competitions. It scores and divides dogs by UKC rules so everyone already knows how it works, nothing is reported to UKC, and competitors don't need a UKC number to enter. If your club needs something custom built, get in touch.
For competitors One payment covers every dog
Entering several dogs now costs you one trip through checkout and one charge on your card, instead of a separate charge per dog. Your account credits that payment to every dog it covered, so nothing shows as still owing after you've settled up.
For competitors Enter all your dogs on one page
Signing several dogs up for the same event is now a single page — pick the runs for each dog, see what it all comes to, and check out once. It tells you up front which of your dogs are eligible for what, so you don't pick a run only to be turned away at the end.
For clubs See who is waiting for a spot
When a run fills up, the dogs waiting on it now show as a Waitlist button right next to that run's registered count, so you can see who's waiting and move someone in without digging through settings.
For clubs Say which sports your club hosts
You can now set the sports your club runs from your own Club Profile, and pick them when you first register your club. They show as badges on your club page and in the club directory.
For everyone Dogs Entered counts the whole event
The Dogs Entered number on an event page now counts every dog entered across the whole event. It used to show only the busiest single splash, so a well-attended event could look smaller than it was.

For clubs The club portal, rebuilt around your event
Everything for one event — entries, scoring, check-in, closing it out — now lives on one screen instead of three that didn't know about each other, and Close Event is in one place rather than four. Every screen has its own web address, so Refresh and your browser's Back button behave the way you'd expect instead of throwing away what you were doing.
For clubs Easier reading at the pool
Tables across the portal now share one look, and scratched and already-scored dogs are legible in Sun Mode instead of washing out in bright light. Score entry got its share too: tabbing moves through the boxes in the order you actually score them, the row you're on is clearly marked, and clearing a score sticks.
For clubs Practice on a mock event
A mock event now behaves like the real thing for your crew — the live strip, running order, big-screen board and finals bubble all work on it, clearly marked MOCK and invisible to everyone outside your club. You can rehearse a full run day before you run one.
For competitors K9 Stats HQ is on its way
K9 Stats HQ is our companion platform for dog record keeping — where your dog's titles, career milestones, and stats will live. It's being built right now and isn't open yet, so there's nothing for you to do at the moment. Sport Dog Hub stays focused on running events and recording results, and once K9 Stats HQ opens, your results here will feed into it automatically and you'll be able to connect each of your dogs. We'll say so here the moment it's ready.
For clubs Preview your event page before it goes live
While an event is still a draft, you can open its page and see exactly what competitors will see, with a banner reminding you that nobody outside your club can. Cancelled events work the same way, so you can check what's showing after you call one off.
For clubs Put a map on your event page
You can now add a map or photo of your site to an event — where the pool sits, where to unload, where to park. It appears with your location notes on the event page, and competitors can tap it to open it full size on their phone at the gate.
For clubs More control over your event description
The event description now takes headings, larger or smaller text, and alignment, so a schedule or an important notice can stand out instead of disappearing into a wall of the same-sized text.
For competitors and clubs Live events, one tap away
While an event is running, a red strip across the top of every page shows what's live right now, with a tap straight through to the running order, scoreboard, finals bubble, and the big-screen board.
For clubs Weather delays
When rain or lightning stops the action, the crew can put the event on hold in one tap. Everyone following along, at the pool or from home, immediately sees that the event is paused instead of wondering why nothing is moving.
For clubs Run more than one club from one account
If you help run several clubs, they now all live under a single login, with a switcher to move between them. Each club is reviewed on its own before it goes live.
For spectators A better big-screen board
The Broadcast board now warms up with a competitor showcase in the hours before the first dog jumps, shows each dog's earlier jumps as it steps to the dock, keeps scratched dogs in their place in the order, and puts a Super V or Fetch It round on screen the moment the host starts it.
For competitors Running orders stay in order
When a dog scratches or an entry is removed, the running order closes up behind it instead of leaving a hole, so the numbers you see at the pool match the sheet.
For competitors Adding a splash keeps your earlier payment
Adding a run at check-in no longer wipes out the record of what you already paid, so nobody gets asked to pay twice for a splash they settled up on.
For everyone Old event links keep working
If a club renames an event, links you already saved or shared still land on the right page.
For clubs 2026 is free
Every club runs its full 2026 season on Sport Dog Hub at no cost, with the whole feature set included.
July 2026
For competitors Free, for good
Competitor accounts are permanently free. No subscription, no per-dog fee, no paid tier — every feature on your side of the platform is included.
For competitors Run-Day Alerts
Get a notification the moment your running order is set, showing your spot in line and the two dogs ahead of you, plus an alert when your final scores are posted. Works on your phone, tablet, computer, or watch.
For clubs Finals Check-In
Mark dogs in or out for finals in one tap. When someone can't compete, the next dog off the bubble automatically takes the spot.
For competitors Clearer dog profiles
Personal-best and finals placements now stand out at a glance on your dog's page.
For competitors Handler names everywhere
Your dog now shows your handler's name across the platform, on entries, running orders, and the live boards.
For everyone Cancelled events drop off the Event Finder
Events that get called off no longer sit on the calendar looking like they're still happening.
June 2026
For competitors and clubs Sun Mode
A high-contrast display mode that stays readable outdoors in bright sun, so you can check scores and running orders at the venue.
For competitors and clubs In-app messaging
Message clubs and competitors, get event updates, and reach the Sport Dog Hub team, all in one place.
